Thermal Analysis

The Georgia Tech Biocleanroom contains several tools to assist in the thermal analysis of materials. They allow for the measurement of the decomposition temperatures of polymers and inorganic materials, melting temperatures and glass transition temperatures of polymers by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), as well as analysis of the decomposition behavior and products using the Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) and Fourier Transform Infrared (TGA/IR) interface.
